My fiance and I are getting married, but didn’t want a formal engagment party. We would like to have a casino-themed bbq/engagement party just as a way for our families to meet and get to know one another before the big day. Does anyone have any ideas on what games to play, foods / drinks to serve or even what to call such an occasion? We are trying to keep costs low, so any money saving tips are much appreciated!

It really depends on where you live.
Playing slot machines sounds like a great activity for such an occasion. Food/ Drinks could be whatever you like, during these hard times, i’d go with a low-cost diet on any of the foods you like.
To save money you should plan everything, don’t just go buying like there’s no tomorrow.
