How Do I Get My Money Out Of An Online Casino Or Sportsbook?

July 4th, 2009

Each casino employs a different system for payments. Most typically the casino will refund an amount up to the initial deposit to your credit card or alternative payment account. Any amount exceeding this will be paid out most often by check (i.e. sent by mail) but some casinos will pay this excess amount by wire transfer, paypal etc. Watch out for the service charges imposed for wire transfers, registered mail and other means. As mentioned watch for operators that do not allow cashouts below a certain amount. The typical process is the following:
- Once minimum wagering requirements are met, the player will go the casinos “bank” that manages funds.
- A request will be made for a cashout. This cashout request is usually held for a few days (this allows you a chance to change your mind) with the duration varying according to the casino.
- Once this period has lapsed then the process begins with the initial amount refunded to the source funding method (e.g. credit card) and the balance being sent. In the meantime depending on the company they make ask you to verify your identity, receive a PIN number or call in to identify the address is correct. This is done as a means of fraud control.
- The cashout process can range from 5 days to up to 3 weeks before all funds are received. In some cases with dishonest operators this may take months.

There should be a button in your manage account section.
I use bodog and that’s where it is on there account.
Also, there should be a 1-800 # to call. If your sports book does not have one, you may want to go to one that is more well known.
