I learned how to play pai gow poker on pogo
they have great graphics, fun sounds, & you earn tokens as you play. there, unlike here, your points can buy you things for your “mini”,or, avatar.
they have a lot of other games on there too. go to http://www.pogo.com/home/home.do?site=po…
and look under casino games. there’s more than just this one..but be careful, you’ll get hooked!
Panda Pai Gow Poker (that’s the term Pogo uses…they use panda bears as the dealers!) is a casino-style table game in which you create two winning hands from your initial deal of seven cards.
After placing your wager, you receive your set of seven cards. You must then choose two cards for your “low” hand; the remaining five cards will form your “high” hand. Once your hands are set, you have the opportunity to win a Bonus Bet by guessing the outcome of the game: Win, Lose, or Push. The dealer’s cards are then revealed, and you will receive your payout (if any).
The object of Panda Pai Gow Poker is to create two winning hands from your initial seven card deal. Here’s how you play:
    1. Place your bet by clicking on the appropriate coin in the lower-left corner of the game window. You can bet 1, 5, 10, 25, or 50 Tokens per game.
    2. Press the “DEAL” button to receive your cards. If you receive a hand with a high Poker value, you will be awarded a Fortune Bonus.
    3. You must now select the two cards you wish to use in your “low” hand. Your “low” hand must have a lower Poker value than the remaining five cards that will be used in your “high” hand. You can also use the “HINT” button to see how the House would play the same cards. You can click on a card to select (raise) it, or click on a raised card to lower it. Once you have selected the two cards you wish to play in your “low” hand, click the “SET HAND” button. To see the relative strength of Poker hands, refer to the poker hand values: http://www.pogo.com/help/paigow/poker-ha…
    4. Once your cards are set, you can choose between three options for the Bonus Bet. To “WIN”, you must beat both of the House’s hands. To “LOSE”, both of your hands must lose to the House. To “PUSH”, you must beat one of the House’s hands but lose to the other.
    5. Once the cards are revealed, each hand will be judged “WIN”, “LOSE”, or, in the case of a tie, “COPY”. Again, you must “WIN” both hands to beat the House and win your bet. If you “PUSH”, you will be returned your bet, but your bet will be taken away if you “LOSE”. In the case of one “COPY” hand, the result of your remaining hand will determine if you “WIN” or “LOSE”.
    Quick Tip:
If you don’t have at least a pair, the best you can do is to put your second and third highest cards in your low hand and leave the remaining cards for your high hand. Chances are you will lose both hands, but that also means you should be able to win the Bonus Bet by selecting “LOSE”.
The deck in Panda Pai Gow Poker consists of 52 standard playing cards and one Joker. The Joker can substitute for other cards in several ways:
    As an Ace
As a link in a straight
As a link in a flush
As a link in a straight flush or royal flush
As you can see, the Joker is a very powerful card. In most cases, it will be obvious how to best use the Joker – however, from time to time, the Joker can have multiple uses. In those instances, the “HINT” button will reveal the optimal balance of “high” and “low” hands that can be made using the Joker. However, it may not reveal the most powerful hand the Joker can make.
    Quick Tip:
The Joker can make 3 of a Kind and 4 of a Kind with Aces only. It can take the place of any card in the deck for a straight or flush, but it cannot act as a matching card for anything less than an Ace. In other words, Joker, King, King is treated as Ace, King, King, not 3 of a Kind.
