I owe about 4k to online casino (which is illegal from what I understand). But I don’t think they have my SSN or DOB. Can they report me or hurt my credit?

Chances are you gave them the DOB when you signed up. And yes, there are ways where your credit can be damaged. They could try and assign the debt to a USA collection agency. Chances are you are not talking about a “gambling debt”, but rather a debt to a payment processing company. Furthermore, online casino gambling is not illegal, but online sports betting has been ruled illegal. That judgment was handed down from a Federal court in Louisiana in 2001 in the ruling often referred to in the industry as the “Mastercard ruling”. You can search for something like mastercard ruling casino louisiana 2001 and it should pull it up.
Why not just pay up so you don’t have to worry about it. Also, if you lost money and you don’t have it you should contact Gamblers Anonymous. You better get help so this never happens again, regardless of how it works out.

I dont understand how you could owe an online casino 4K? You usually have to deposit money to play. Did you stop payment on a check report a cc transaction as fraud?
So, I suppose if you took one of these actions it could have an impact on your credit. Otherwise most wouldnt have enough info to hurt your credit.

No they cannot hurt you. The debt is with an overseas company that has no legal standing in the US. They will almost certainly write off the debt. However, I suspect they will share your identity with other online casinos to prevent you ripping anyone else off.
