I heard that some governments around the world banned online casinos and even arrest players who participate in the games.

The big news on making online gambling illegal has been coming out of the US, not the UK.

There’s an interesting article here that explains what’s happened in the US…http://www.bettingbots.com/blog/?p=60
…but there isn’t a chance the UK authorities will do anything similar. Gambling is illegal in 50 states in the US, always was, but it’s perfectly legal on this side of the water and I can’t imagine that will ever change.

No – it’s perfectly legal and you can find a list of approved UK online casinos here:http://www.casinotimes.co.uk/online-casi…
For the record, it’s not illegal in the US either. The recent legislation was targeted at banking and financial institutions – not players. There has been much confusion over this issue but you can find plenty of online casinos happy to accept US online casino players here:http://www.casinotimes.co.uk/online-casi…
