The best bet is not black/red or odd/even but rather the 1st 12, 2nd 12, 3rd 12 bet.
You will want to place and equal bet on 2 of the three option. You will be covering 24 of the 38 possible number (if playing a double zero table) which gives you greater than 50/50 odds which black/red and odd/even barely give you. Because each bet pays 2:1 a winning spin will cover both bets and gain you one bet.
example: you place $10 on 1st 12 and $10 on 2nd 12 for a total of $20. Number 20 hits and the $10 bet on the 2st 12 will pay you $30 the other bet on 1st 12 is a loser but you end up $10 ahead.
