I have two favorites. The MGM, great rooms, comfortable with huge bathrooms. Several good restaurants and close to New York New York with more great restaurants. The pool area is huge with 5 different pools and a river that you can float around. My other favorite is the Rio. The rooms here are very large with a living room sofa. Pool area is great with a sandy bottom pool. Rent a cabana and spend the day.

The New York New York…. it’s very clever how they made the inside look like city streets… and the food court there is great. (Make sure you check out the 9-11 memorial too)

So far, I like the Flamingo. It’s classic. They have a wonderful pool area and wildlife habitat. The prices are easy on the pockets and the service is wonderful.

People go for different reasons. If you like Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Buca di Beppo, then stay on the strip. Guys like me like to kick it Old School. Stay at the Nugget, put a depth charge into Binion’s and walk out of there with a couple hundred, then go over to Hugo’s Cellar in the basement of the Four Queens for the best cocktails and Steakhouse experience you’ll find anywhere. Or you can act like you don’t know any better, walk around with a plastic “yard” drink, look at the fountain show, then go back to Iowa, Nebraska, or Indiana,
